Lou M. Gilpin,
Ph.D., CEG, Principal Geologist:
Dr.
Gilpin has provided geological and geotechnical consultation over
the last 24 years for projects in Northern
California,
including commercial and residential development, infrastructure, and
parks and
recreational areas. Dr.
Gilpin has been the owner and principal geologist of Gilpin
Geosciences, Inc. since 1996.
Presently,
he is
engaged in projects
considering
recreational development in mountainous terrain in Santa Cruz and
Montana, beach / bluff access stairway evaluation at Fitzgerald Marine
Reserve, an emergency coastal bluff repair in San Mateo and San
Francisco Counties, and various vineyard site investigation /
evaluation
projects in Napa County, California. Dr. Gilpin has extensive
experience investigating coastal geology having worked in southern
Alaska, Northern California, and the South Pacific Islands of Vanuatu.
